Will’s birthday coincided with Dia de Los Muertos.
Jean and Stephanie joined us for a night of celebration, starting with a celebration of death (rather than birth). We walked up to El Teatro de la Ciudad, unsure of what to expect, and found a fantastic crowd and very well-run event. It included a loud and long stage performance, in Spanish of-course, a competition of ‘Catrinas’, elegant dead women, and booths set up to attribute deceased ancestors. We also perused a cool market with non-tourist prices – this is where we picked up Roko and Pazo.
These festivites were followed by dinner, drinks, and a few games of pool. One (large) shot of tequila did Will in.
Will, you look rather pale…. Was it the Tequila, getting older or just all those dead people?
